Hair Series Part 2 - Thinning Hair and Hair Loss 1

When you wash your hair,it's natural to lose a few strands ( well up to 100 a day is pretty normal).
First of all make sure you get plenty of the nutrients necessary for hair growth (iron, zinc, vitamin C,E and B, selenium).
Sources of
Iron : Red meat , Beetroot and Sesame seeds(btw very reach in Calcium too, so excellent for your bones girls!)
Vitmain E : Flexseed/Flaxseed oil,Olive oil and Sesame oil

Aromatherapy Homemade Remedies :

  •  Thinning Hair : 6 drops of Rosemary and 4 drops of Frankincense essential oils to 20 ml of unfragranced shampoo and use to wash your hair.
  • Scalp Stimulator : Add 15 drops of Jojoba oil,8 drops of Carrot oil,7 drops of Rosemary essential oil, 7 drops of Lavender oil and 2 drops of Tea Tree oil to 100 ml of your favorite shampoo ( Has to be SLS-free/Sodium Lauryl Sulphate free).Use as a normal shampoo but leave for 1-2 mins before rinsing off. For further stimulation of the scalp, add the oils to your conditioner. Let the conditioner work for 1-2 mins, then rinse.

Ayurvedic Remedy:
  • The Strees Buster; Coconut Relaxing Scalp Massage!
Stress can have an impact on your hair, leading to thinning and sometimes hair loss. Here is an ayurvedic remedy:
  • Take a cotton wool pad and use it to apply a good /generous amount of Coconut oil to your central parting.
  • Continue to part your hair at regular intervals across the front of your head until you reach your ears, rubbing the oil into your scalp as you go.
  • Use your fingertips to manipulate and loosen your scalp.Pay attention to the base of the skull by circling your thumbs along your hairline.
  • Pour some more oil onto the central parting and rub vigorously, then run your fingers through your hair to disperse the oil.
  • Leave the oil on you hair and scalp for a few hours before washing it out.

Hope you'll find this post beneficial and I'll be posting some Islamic/Arabian remedies very soon enshaa Allah , so stay tuned! ;)
